Infotainment

Avin AVANT 4

The Avin AVANT 4 is my go-to headunit. It’s fantastic. CarPlay, BMW App, it’s probably the best android headunit on the market. It’s not the cheapest, but It’s worth it.

BlueBus

BlueBus is the solution for connecting your phone to your car WITHOUT replacing the OEM navigation system or screen.

Carplay Dongle

If you have an Android headunit, this dongle is great for adding wireless CarPlay/Android Auto. I’ve been using it for years with my Avin AVANT.

HVAC Relocation Kit

I know it’s pricy, but it’s necessary when upgrading from the Business radio to the Android head unit. A really a fantastic upgrade. 1 USB Charging port, 1 data/charging USB port, and

Interior Accessories

LED Interior Bulbs

While many people prefer the yellow halogen glow, I love modern, bright white LED interior lights. My car had some cheap ones installed that were blue. 😬

ZHP Shift Knob

The Weighted ZHP Shift Knob is the first upgrade I do on all my manual BMWs. It’s BMWs best knob produced 🙌 I’ve looked everywhere and the best price is on Amazon.

Silver Gauge Rings

Simple, silver gauge rings. Huge upgrade for Non-M clusters. The gauge rings add a great visual pop—especially when paired with orange needles 😍

Steering Wheel

The steering wheel is the way you interact with your car. For me, It’s one of the first things I upgrade. Coby Wheel and Ledermanz are my favorite vendors. They have incredible craftsmanship, great communication, and prices that aren’t insane (Wheel wrapping starts at $225 from Colby).

If you already have the steering wheel, Coby is a great option. Link to their store: Coby Wheel

If you need a whole new wheel (Airbag and wheel),I’d go with Ledermanz. Link to their store: Ledermanz

Lighting

LED Halo Lights

The E46 did not come with halos (Angel Eyes) and that’s a shame. I love the way they look on this car. These are my favorite, cotton style.

LED Turn Signal Bulbs

Bright LED turn signal bulbs. You’re rebuilding your headlights, might as well get better bulbs! I’ve been running these for years. Very Happy.

Euro Clear Turn Signals

The USA spec cars have amber turn lenses and typically are pretty beat after 20-ish years of driving. A new set of clear lights really changes up the look. This kit is for Facelift Sedans.

Exterior

M-Tech II Front Bumper (Sedan)

The holy grail of E46 facelift bumpers. I think the M-Tech II bumper is perfect on facelift Models. Pre-facelift? I’d go with an M3 replica. Both come with lights and everything you need 👍

M-Tech II Rear Bumper (sedan)

You put on the M-tech II front bumper, why not complete the look? I love the rear diffuser on this bumper and it really ups the sportiness.

Black Kidney Grilles

The chrome grilles are classic, but I’m a sucker for the all-black grille. This one is a great budget option for 2002-2005 sedans.

Cleaning

McCulloch Steamer

These days, A genuine bumper is $900 🤯 I purchased this bumper for $259.88 on eBay and put it on my 540 wagon. Fitment was good for over half off the OEM Price!

Detailing Brushes

M5 Mirrors. I love ‘em, but OEM are crazy expensive. These aftermarket ones were on the wagon and worked perfectly.

Grit Guard Kit

Love ‘em or hate ‘em, Chemical Guys makes some great kits. This starter kit has a wash mit, grit guard, bucket, and some soap—all to help cut down on swirls and scratches!

(from a guy who isn’t a detailer)

Pressure Washer

I’ve had this pressure washer for 7 years! It’s been amazing for washing the car and using around the house.

Foam Cannon

Game changer for washing the car. The suds and foam are incredible!

Diagnostic

BMW Scanner

Absolutely my go to scanner for the E46. This scanner comes with PAsoft 1.4 diagnostic software which is fantastic for figuring out issues/codes.

INPA

This is basically the BMW software for troubleshooting and coding your car. It’s difficult to setup and there is a learning curve to use it, but the software is incredibly powerful.
